Lonesome Dove -- Larry McMurtry

I have been meaning to read this ever since our Mamapolo recommended it to me about 4 or 5 accounts ago. I hesitated because I didn't have the whole series, but I think it'll be ok to just read this. I like the idea of the old west, how life was lived, but i've never been super into it. A saga to be sucked into as into a dirt devil (that's a vacuum cleaner in case any are wondering)

@exexec You think seeing that would enhance the reading experience? Only if I see it for free though, but not gonna look. I feel bad about how lackluster so far my reading is for it, but it's just the beginning!!

@Adroneandastrain I think it is best to read the book first, although the film followed the book fairly faithfully.
