I couldn’t get into that book. But I’m a fan of anything CIA or spy related. Jack Ryan fan for sure.

@BillyMack Did you listen on Audible? I read the first book and have listened the rest and it's so good on Audible
RosaMarie · 46-50, F
@SlippingAway Libby, free with a library card
BillyMack · 46-50, M
@SlippingAway @RosaMarie yeah I use Libby for any audiobooks. Or Spotify. I can see how it would be better as an audio version. I might have to try that.

Im a reader. But not of fiction really.

One of few I have read any where near yours. those above is Simon Necronomicon.

Written as the " true" Necromicon, the book of the dead featured in HP Lovecrafts work.

This one really surprised me. Im not big on faith or Christian based books but this one surprised me. Its fiction and its about a guy that goes between reality and the dream world and he's gotta save people in both worlds. Pretty good

@GnomeyGee Nice I'll look into it, I am always looking for a good read. I have too many books really but I love a good book.
GnomeyGee · 41-45, M
@SlippingAway Yu can never have to many books. I think you'll like it. It bends the mind a little bit and it's about 1500 pages long but had me hooked from the start.
Yes.

The dictionary.

First book I read where one has to find the plot, and there are so very many to be found in it.

When I realized that, it made all the reading make sense...

...and I can make you a very nice deal on a bridge, as well.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It's a shame, but I won't spend another dime that might get back to JKR.
@RosaMarie Same. My books are all over 20 years old.

Try Lev Grossman The Magicians Trilogy
RosaMarie · 46-50, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't disagree, but I also don't think that applied to The Magicians
@RosaMarie Not to the overall story but he certainly pokes fun at it by making Fillory ridiculously disfunctional.
RosaMarie · 46-50, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Sure, of course. Start with the premise that magic exists and Narnia was wildly, obsessively popular. Proceed from there.
