I read Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto and it certainly helped cement my aversion to socialism. It isn't surprising at all that reading a proponent of something turns one away from it.

@Guitarman123 [center]I also waded through the Koran and came away with more questions and trepidation about Islam than before. Why is it so hard for you to believe that someone can read something you like and might come to a different conclusion than you do?

I have not read "Road to Wigan Pier" but if the author is pro socialism there is every likelihood I wont like it and zero chance I would come away being a proponent of such a system. I don't believe everything I hear or read.
