Is there a book you were required to read in school that you loved? one you hated?

@Picklebobble2 1984 was probably ok a long time ago...Thomas Hardy is pretty cool. I liked the Tess of Deuberville.

@originnone Huxley's Brave new world was another we had to do.....bleak isn't the word !

Could never quite figure out why dystopian novels were so 'popular' with exam boards of the time.

@Picklebobble2 We had to read that one for science class, along with 1984 at the same time. Double bleak.
