Most likely a textbook on ceramic glaze formulation.
VioletShadows · 51-55, F
@Elinoria Wow! Interesting! Do you work with ceramics often?

The Web and the Rock, because I already read these
and am half way through Of Time and the River.

It's not a book, but I'm gearing up to read "The Boron Letters".

It's a collection of letters by one of the greatest copywriters of all time, Gary Hallett (sp) to his son about life, work, and how to write good copy.
VioletShadows · 51-55, F
@YourBuddyRandall That sounds really interesting.
YourBuddyRandall · 26-30, M
@VioletShadows it does? I have mixed feelings. I love the psychology of advertising, but I don't like the feeling that I'm manipulating someone. So we'll see.

@YourBuddyRandall It is possible to fill needs and have a good motive. But you are right, many people don't have the best motives.

I want to read an autobiography of John Kavanagh, for those of you who don't know he's the head coach of Conor McGregor and MMA superstar. Sounds like a really grounded man who has worked hard to build what he has. I've heard good reviews of the book.
Gravitation by MTW, the three chemistry books by Theodore Gray, and On Piano Playing by Gyorgy Sandor, to name a few.

I am now into Lessing's "Golden Notebook". Something else of hers will be next.

I'm currently reading Infinite Dream by KP Lane. It builds on the philosophy in his non fiction work The God Contention where he looks for a rational option to traditional religion about earning a place in the afterlife.

Next I don't know Charlotte Grey by Sebastian Faulks or The Tattooist of Auschwitz which I've been recommended by several.

World Without End by Ken Follett. A sequel to Pillars of the Earth, which I really enjoyed.

I am reading a book of lectures by Richard Feynman. After that I will pick up another Vonnegut work.
nahright09 · 41-45, M
The Tattooist of Auschwitz is next up in the queue.
Platoscave · F
@nahright09 Heard of that one, was kinda hesitant about getting into it...
nahright09 · 41-45, M
@Platoscave the title suggests that it would be a difficult/bleak read but a few people i know loved it.
Platoscave · F
@nahright09 The reviews were not terrific. I am also in "The Mars Room". One awesome read was "House of Sand and Fog". Unforgettable, great film too.

ok that's it from me 4 now.

Either "The Three Kingdoms" which is a translation of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" or some translation textbook I got back in October that I still haven't gone through.
