I Love Books

I love to read and acquire books at a rate that I'll never catch up to, life gets in the way. But wherever I am, I have a book with me, and never pass up a chance to pass time reading.

Just yesterday I found myself home alone with a quiet house for the first time in ages. What did I do? Try out a new used book store and come home with 10 books. To the back of the queue, my new friends, until I finish "The Battle for Spain."

Sounds great. I try to read as much as I can and am always looking for the next good read...so do let me know if any of those are particularly good, please!

Wonderful. What are you into? I read a lot of history, so my taste isn't everyone's cup of tea. I finished "The Battle For Spain". I have a book on the run up to the Russian Revolution next to my bed and I blew through David Hoffman's "Billion Dollar Spy" while flying home to visit for the weekend.

I often have trouble reading many history books...gets too dry. I often find myself getting halfway through'em and then skimming the rest. The last one I read was Empire of Sin...about the founding of New Orleans up to 1920.

As for what I like, i'm not too picky...I just like a good story. Something that gives me a really good idea of what a place, time, situation is like...but in a really good idk storytelling way.

I have a very high tolerance for dry. But I know that is not common. I'd love to peek at your bookshelf. I'm that kind of voyuer.
