I Love Books

I love to read and acquire books at a rate that I'll never catch up to, life gets in the way. But wherever I am, I have a book with me, and never pass up a chance to pass time reading.

Just yesterday I found myself home alone with a quiet house for the first time in ages. What did I do? Try out a new used book store and come home with 10 books. To the back of the queue, my new friends, until I finish "The Battle for Spain."

Sounds great. I try to read as much as I can and am always looking for the next good read...so do let me know if any of those are particularly good, please!

I have a very high tolerance for dry. But I know that is not common. I'd love to peek at your bookshelf. I'm that kind of voyuer.

Come over and take a peek anytime.😜

Haha, don't encourage me.

One of the best, yet simplest joys in life is to sit down, anticipate, then turn to that first page of a new book...and be transported into another world, even if only briefly.

Have you read Goldfinch?

No, I haven't. It's a novel that won awards, right? That's about all I know.

Is it a book you'd recommend?

What have you read recently?

@Roach I just finished an Astronaut memoir. “An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth,” by Chris Hadfield.

You imply that's a bad thing? Haha

Lol, I was putting myself in your shoes and realizing I need to stop buying and read more of what I have lol. I just get into moods of what I want to read at the time. 😋

You are going to end up with a house full of books and nothing else inside lol.
