I needed a good series, so I am currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses. I picked up the whole series.
Every summer, I read Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and then Little Altars Everywhere. Altars came out first, but if I had read Altars first, I would have never read Divine Secrets.

The Dentist, the first in Tim Sullivan's DS Cross series of books about an autistic British Detective, somewhat similar to the old Monk TV series. Sullivan's series just got a big introductory promotion here in the U.S.
And No Prophets, by Jared Huffman, the Democratic Congressman from California who founded the Freethought Caucus in Congress and the first Congressman ever to openly acknowledge they did not believe in any God or religion. A frightening analysis of how Christian Nationalism in the U.S. has grown from the days of the Moral Majority in Nixon's time to domination of the Trump Administration. Huffman's own life-journey from growing up in a radical offshoot of Mormonism, with high school friends convicted of "blood sacrifice" killings for that religion, brings a quite sobering perspective.
I tend to read fiction and non-fiction simultaneously, particularly when the non-fiction is pretty heavy stuff requiring some stepping back, reflecting and pondering.
