And it's utterly exhausting. I began being a people pleaser as a kid Bec my home life was a nightmare. I thought,* I hope no one thinks of me as bad or as dirt as my mom does,so I'll do or be whatever they need. * Little did I know over giving does not increase your value at all. Or self esteem. It just makes you frustrated, Bec not many will reciprocate 🥺

@Baybreeze It is exhausting, running on empty, with nothing to fill your tank. You're right. In the end, giving doesn't increase your value, it just leaves you empty.

You're right. It does..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Sometimes we don't get a choice. It is what it is.

@LadyBronte Dont get me wrong. I wouldnt change a thing. On balance I have had way more luck than I deserve. And the sense of accomplishment where it matters most sustains me. The load is gone now and I sense something missing at times..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I do believe understand what you mean, as much as I can anyway, since I haven't experienced it. Your situation is tough.

Sounds more like my marriage than how I grew up .. but yeah, empty vessel up in here.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@BrandNewMan For me, it is a little of both. Either way, the result is the same. 😞

There's a lot of truth to that
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Mindful Unfortunately there is.
