Hit Goodwill for a few books, they had some new books at $10. Does anyone find that a bit steep? On another note, do you like someone reading to you? I think it would be sublime.. especially poetry.

I love listening to people reading and also reading to other people. I do this with my adopted daughter to encourage her reading habit and it has become an important part of our relationship.
@SunshineGirl I feel like for a child, the sound of a voice reading is soothing, too. Maybe it harkens back to the tradition of oral storytelling, when families / clans would sit around a fire and listen to each other swapping yarns. There’s something very human about that. Good on you for reading to your child.
