Do you buy ebooks?

Occasionally. But more often I use my library card to check out the book on Libby, and it lets me transfer it to Amazon/kindle, so I’m not buying it

I prefer physical books because I can add them to my library and easily reference them later. For professional reading, I'm methodical and regularly review these books against new trends. I buy eBooks when necessary.

I love books. Actual books, vintage books. However, I enjoy my kindle as well. Easier to carry around and like you say they are instantly downloaded.

I just feel more present and mindful with a physical book. I find my mind drifts reading from a screen.

No, but that's from a quirk of mine, I love the feeling of a book in my hand. I love the feeling of a page turning in my hand. A screen tires my eyes, where a page on paper never does. Another quirk, though I sadly never read anymore. I used to go to quiet bars to read, and so much conversation could be created just by a book in hand. I think sometimes I used them that way, to create conversation, because much is said in who notices what you are reading.

I more borrow them then buy them. you can use your local library or hoopla or libby to borrow them.

No need, I use the Libby app to get them for free. In the beginning, I missed the feel of real books but I’ve become accustomed to and quite comfortable reading ebooks.

Generally not. I like physical books too much. I have read ebooks before, and I have nothing against them, but if I can get a physical book, I will choose that. Any time I would try to read on my iPad, I would just get distracted by the other apps anyway. 😑

Nope. Until my Kindle stopped working properly, I downloaded them for free from my local library.
However, if I don't mind tying up my laptop, I can download them from the library on my laptop and read them here.

Yes for my daughter she loves to read. She prefers paper books but ebooks are easier when we're traveling.

I'm going blind and can't read real books anymore. I get an email every morning from Early Bird Books. Ebooks for $1.99-2.99. I also get them from the library. I much prefer real books but that's life.
