it is for me. i have at least one book in room i read.

TinyViolins · 31-35, M
Idk, I used to read 3 or 4 at a time. Sometimes your brain needs the variety.

Different authors have different styles and write about different topics. If I'm reading something heavy, I like to balance it out with something light or humorous. Sometimes I'll be interested in how-to books or compendiums which are kind of boring and need to balanced with some engaging fiction. Maybe I've been reading the same author or same genre for a while and need to break the monotony with someone or something new.

5 might be a bit much though. If I ever get to 5, that probably means I've given up on one of those books. I tend to want to finish what I start

No. Not weird. I used to have multiple books going at once all the time. I've lost interest in reading the last few years though, so I still have about 4 books I've never finished. Who knows if I ever will.

Poetry I dip into each day. Technically, that’s a book.

Lonely Planet covers different artists. So I can continue that from time to time.

My main book is quite long. But my free time is uneven. It’s taken two and a half weeks so far.
I do not scam.

Oh not weird at all!! I am a poly reader too, I read multiple books at once. 🥰
wildland · M
God knows how many books I've got on the go; both physically and on my kindle lol

No, I find myself with the same scatter brained problems from time to time, Sometimes the only way to finish is to just pick one and go through it.
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@PDXNative1986 Yes I think I am going to need to prioritize and stop adding to pile
it would be for me; I start mixing the story lines together at some point. I kinda need to find a new something to read.
You should see how many I have stored in my kindle, those will take the rest of my life
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@phoenixrising I have to stay away from used bookstores because I will always find something I want to read.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@DearAmbellina2113 I thought so too 🥰
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
It's not weird, but I myself would mix up the plots of the books I was reading if I did that myself.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
I can't do that - OCD
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
Lmao that is a bit weird. Most I can do at a time are 3
spookyweestar · 26-30, F
It's 3 at a time max for me before it becomes an overwhelming jumble

Not as weird as reading 5 copies of the same book.. But it is out there..😷
BlackPetals · 18-21, F
No, that is not weird. It is uncommon, but not weird
peterlee · M
@BlackPetals Actually, very few young males read at all.
How mainly males admit to reading poetry.

It’s like gym and sports.
Thrust down your throats at school. Then totally ignored in life.

Until you become health conscious.
