The Diary of Anne Frank

I read this book in elementary school and it left a lasting impression on me and my life.
@tobynshorty I liked it myself
emiliya · 22-25, F
It was Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It feels out of reach now. It speaks of overcoming. This has become a distant and foreign language to me.

Nietzsche was an optimistic man. Why is he not recognized as one?

Dune, but only if I bundle the first 4 books: Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune and Godemperor of Dune, by Frank Herbert.

But if I have to name one book... then I probably go for: "The Plague" by Albert Camus.

Time enough for Love. Robert A Heinlein😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Sevendays I believe I have every word he ever published in my collection in one form or other. A politically conservative and socially progressive complex person..😷
Sevendays · M
@whowasthatmaskedman I’ve read many but not all. I think The Moon is a Harsh Mistress was my first. I got drawn in like I knew everyone in the book.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Sevendays Heinlein writes "real" people in fantasy situations. Even a man several thousand years old is hard nosed, pragmatic and understands the practicalities of dealing with other people. While still valuing close relationships. He doesnt become a saint through wisdom..😷
MarineBob · 56-60, M
