Michael Connelly's

Love his detective novels and series, especially Harry Bosch. An old retered no nonsense kinda cop. Love MCs writing style

I just read The Dark Hours, which I picked up from a charity stall. First one of his that I've read. I quite enjoyed it but he has written a lot! This was Harry Hole #23, Renee Ballard #4.

@summerwind I'll look out for more but a lot of the US police jargon was a bit of a challenge for me.

Can't wait for the next -- read them all. I was turned on to Bosch by a retired cop living next door. No better endorsement on how much Connelly is plugged into the entire law enforcement/justice system, including his Lincoln Lawyer series. I liked the casting TV did for Bosch, and thought the updating of him being an Iraq War vet from the original Vietnam tunnel rat a clever touch to be more relevant to a younger audience. But the mix and match of stories from the books was confusing and a turn-off, and the age thing has now boxed them in from some of the best stuff from his "retirement" years in the books.

I had picked up ‘City of Lights’ (I think that’s the title??) this past summer. I enjoyed his Bosch character too.
I think I’ll look for another to read :)

Also, I read a book called The Push, by Ashley Audrain. I enjoyed that one too. Although, if I’m being honest, I found the actual writing left a bit to be desired, but I really enjoyed the premise of the book. The IDEA she was writing about.

@ImpeccablyImperfect Always a shame when the execution falls a little short of the premise

@ImpeccablyImperfect I'll check it out

I’ve read one or two of his. Currently into Jo Nesbo and Mick Herron.

I read almost all his books on Bosch, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Renee Ballard.

Amazon Prime has a streaming series based on the Bosch books which is very good.

@eli1601 love how intertwines the two characters together in his books

I like his writing too, including Hieronymus...Harry Bosch. I'd just been thinking of that a while before I saw this post this morning, because of my upcoming trip to the library.
