What sorts of genres of literature do you enjoy? I can make recommendations in many genres.

@4meAndyou What is your favorite genre? I like action and adventure. 🙂

@Musicman I like fantasy and sci fi right now. But I went through a crime and mystery phase, a forensic scientist phase, a romance phase, and even read the whole Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. I've read the Secret Life of Bees, which was surprisingly more like real literature than I usually enjoy, and in the same vein, I've read The Help.

I've read the entire Repairman Jack series, (he is a sort of supernatural tough guy...)

And I loved the horror series with the Albino Detective Aloysius Pendergast by Preston and Child.

I loved Preston's Tyrannousaur Canyon, which is tied in to the others in that series...

and soooo many more.

@4meAndyou WOW! Just WOW! You read the whole spectrum. I like science fiction, but mainly in movies not so much in books. What are you reading now?

@Musicman I am on book 5 of Terry Goodkind's series which starts with the book, [u]Wizard's First Rule[u] . I've read the whole series before, but so long ago that it almost seems new to me...though, as I read, I end up being right about what happens next...🤣🤣🤣. Every book reveals a new rule for Wizards, and at one time I was going to write them all down, but someone else already did that. Here they are:

"People are stupid. They believe things mainly because they either want them to be true or fear them to be true. (Wizard's First Rule)
Harm can result from good intention. (Stone of Tears)
Passion rules reason. (Blood of the Fold)
There is Magic in sincere Forgiveness, both in forgiveness received and given. (Temple of the Winds)
Mind people's actions over words. (Soul of the Fire)
Only allow reason to rule you. (Faith of the Fallen)
Life is the future not the past. (Pillars of Creation)
Deserve victory. (Naked Empire)
Contradictions cannot exist. (Chainfire)
Ignoring truth is betraying yourself. (Phantom)
Embrace life, Strength without hate.(Confessor)
* Truth cannot be destroyed. (Omen Machine)
* There have always been those who hate, and there always will be. (Severed Souls)
* In this world everyone must die. None of us has any choice in that. Our choice is how we wish to live. (Warheart)"

@4meAndyou It seems like there are some life lessons in each book. I like that. 🙂
4meAndyou · F
@Musicman Exactly. I like my fictional heroes to have morals! ☺️

@4meAndyou That's why I like the Ashes series. Ben Raines is the hero. He imparts life lessons too. After reading the books it made me want to change and clean up aspects of my life.
