Dreamsnake by Vonda McIntyre, it is one of maybe three or four books I have read more than twice. The other two known books are The Long Walk by Richard Bachman (Stephen King), and Swansong by Robert McCammon. The other book I believe I read a third time is called Singularity, about a shack that speeds time, I read Dreamsnake about ten to twelve times since middle school in the early 80's.
