George Orwell had incredible insights, 1984 for exactly the reason you state, it’s like he’s travelled forward in time. His other novels are a good read too - have you read down and out in Paris and London? I enjoyed that one 😎👍

Yes, as a teenager. I liked it. I watched the movie too but of course, I was disenchanted how different it all was from what I imagined. 😆

Yes, it's a book I think every adult should read. I re-read it every few years. Last time was a couple of years ago.

it wasnt an easy read.. kinda boring. i liked the 2x movies better

I read Brave New World, but never ended up reading 1984 in school
