Why the Hellcius did they invent Celsius?

The whole metric system is easier to use. In the case of temperature 0 c is the freezing point of water and 100 c is the boiling point of water.

Sadly my gripe with this is it is not quite as accurate. Other than that celcus really is easy to use.

@DeWayfarer celcius would be great if we were all water, Fahrenheit relates more to relative temperature as perceived by human body, 0 F is bitter cold 100 F is damn hot

@Whereuat Oh I agree, that is why I have a gripe with it. Perhaps if it was based on some other element, molecule or chemical it would be more accurate.

@Whereuat Here is an idea, recently there was an article of a few other physical states that water has. Use those new physical states instead of freezing and boiling. It definitely would be more accurate.
