It happened again

These people who ask how old my non-existent children are within the first lines of a message have to be bots or traffickers. Because why would you bring that immediately or even at all? I don't mention having children anyway, so why do people keep bringing it up? I just had to add "childfree" to my profile because this keeps happening & the usernames look familiar. I'm wondering why I'm receiving messages from blocked accounts. Does this happen to anyone else?

I've not really had it happen, I'd suspect it's more to do with assuming and attempts to build rapport, and some amount of projection - some people can't imagine not having a super similar to their own life. but there are likely a good number of very nefarious things going on as well.

@whiskeymoon I suppose it could be, I just tend to think people are assuming and trying to work off something that's both common and close to heart and relatable. hopefully it becomes less of an issue.
