Ever stare at a word long enough that it doesn’t look the same word anymore?

It's not you, and it is, in fact, a very commonly known psychological phenomenon or "brain glitch". Contrary to other posts here, it does happen to others (myself included) and you are entirely normal. ☺

Sometimes spelling of normal words just looks weird and incorrect to me at times, I don't know why.

It happens when I say or hear the word too many times too...

It starts to lose its meaning.
