I normally make a semi-funny, smart-alecky response to most posts, but I think this post deserves more serious reflection. Without making this a post about religion, I think that this is just part of our human nature - we are all flawed and frequently contribute to the self-centered mayhem of our society in our neighborhoods and workplaces. The bigger question I think is 'Where do we look for redemption from our flawed nature?' Is it a higher power? Is it nature? What is it? It's different for each of us, but in my opinion, if each of us looks inward (assess ourselves and start with the only person that we can really change) and chooses kindness and compassion that starts individually within each of us, I think we'd be making a HUGE step towards restoring faith in ourselves and rekindling hope for all of humanity. Maybe we should be pointing the finger at ourselves as individuals rather than always feeling glib about pointing it at other people. Kind of a Michael Jackson 'Man in the Mirror' thing - to quote some of the lyrics

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could've been any clearer
If they wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

This is just my opinion - what do each of you think?

@Markinator yeah honestly we as humans it's easy to point fingers cause no one wants to be "in the wrong" or told they're wrong or doing wrong etc. And we are in our own worlds I see that everyday while driving no one wants to drive anymore they wanna be on their phones or distracted with others in the car etc. But yeah i don't think anyone TRIES to do that or make others mad usually at least. Its just us being flawed humans!

Much like the wrong way drivers, I hear about them but never seen one but the other day some guy was driving his car the wrong way up the off ramp from the freeway.

It freaked me out some but we missed but did hear about a wrong way driver going down the freeway later.

I have faith in humanity though that people will do things incorrectly.
@Alessa and your faith is restored!
