Several years ago my cousin and I took a boat trip from Grand Manan to Machias Seal Island where the puffins are. The only people allowed on the island are the workers and the researchers. Tour boats can go alongside the island, but no one is allowed to get off because it is preserved for the birds. And of course, the seals live there too Here are a few pictures from my visit.
