Its not a bad dream, it would be pretty amazing to be able to travel and stay where you want for as long as you want. Maybe you could work for 9 months and then travel for the summer?
@Pherick That would be a possibility and I actually hadn't thought of that. This is an idea that got into my head about a month ago and refuses to leave, so I'm in the early stages of exploring the options
Maybe get an RV and check out Workamper.com. Travel the country staying at places you can work, usually seasonal then move on. If you find a good place to set down roots then go for it.
@Ophelia We've looked into it. Also know a couple that's retired and they go to state parks to volunteer and get a free campsite in exchange for 20 hours work.
@Ophelia If it were not for some things that are happening in our life at this time that's what we would be doing. In fact a few campgrounds we frequent the chief ranger has asked us to stay as hosts. maybe someday!
