I Have Random Thoughts
The worse that a person is, the more they'll despise you for doing the right thing. That doesn't make you or your actions wrong - it just means that they're an utter garbage person who hates the light, because it reveals them and shows them how ugly they are in comparison, challenging the stories they tell themselves about how their horrible actions are somehow okay.
Just because people make you feel like the devil in order to protect their own toxic brokenness doesn't make you the devil - on the contrary, I think that what scummy people think of you says a lot about your character.
And if someone gets hurt as a result of your actions, that doesn't mean that you did something wrong. I hurt an evil person earlier this week by poking their ego and challenging their lies. That didn't make my words wrong. The Nazi soldiers hated the Allied soldiers who were shooting at them, and many of those Nazi soldiers truly were innocents who had no idea what kind of people their leaders were, or that they were on the wrong side of history. Many of them were decent people bravely serving their country, willing to give up their lives for what they thought was right. They were heroes in their hearts and in their courage. And yet killing these brave, noble men was a good thing - it saved the world.
