The reality is that we're already being controlled by machines. The machines of society and government that we've lost control over, which encourage uniformity because it's more efficient for them.

Exactly. And I think the illusion of freedom is sometimes more effective than outright control.

People don't eben question what they don't realize they've already surrendered.

Most people don't realise that they are in prison (mentally)..therefore they don't realise they need to escape.
