Went to a car show and was surprised what happened. I brought my 1975 Mercedes Benz 300D to show it and was the first European vehicle with mostly American makes. I bought it 20 years ago and was garage kept when I did this. I was in the pre 1983 class with it and got this one. A lot of people thought it was a cool car and most know me well. I was excited when I heard my name. Some thought there was something wrong with it and I told them it is a diesel showing them opening the hood of it.

@Iwillwait I did not have to do to it much to it once I bought it. Bought it from a lady and it was her late husband's. He took great care of it I do work on them and my 3rd classic Mercedes, have the station wagon version of it too

Sounds like your Mercedes was a breath of fresh air among all the American iron. Twenty years of looking after it clearly paid off. Congratulations on the win! I bet introducing people to a diesel Mercedes was almost as enjoyable as collecting the trophy.
