Remember when houses had specific dishes for very specific foods?

I feel like the relish tray was a major part of adult life when I was growing up.

Those dishes only appeared when guests were coming.

Fancy glass dish.
Pickles.
Olives.
Celery nobody wanted.

And at least one person eating olives one at a time off their fingers.

Oh, and the fancy cut glass dish designated for devil eggs.

My grandma's was carnival glass. And I still have them.

Random thing that popped in my brain

My grandparents recently sold their house. They let everyone have whatever they wanted from the house before they moved out. I wanted everything you mentioned! And her fancy punch bowl with the ladle that always made a mess.
Anywho, I didn't find out any of this was happening until it was too late. So all those memorable things from my childhood are gone forever. The cost of being the black sheep of the family.
@SooperSarah I'm so sorry.

I remember my grandma's fancy carnival glass punch bowl and pretty little cups. I honestly don't even know who got that
