How do you label your freezer meat?
when putting it in the freezer, i mean.
I started with guessing what it is by the shape.. but i'd miss a lot. i mean, some pieces were easy to spot, sure.. but some were almost random guessing.
I moved to writing on the bag with a permanent marker.. which would smudge off, and by the time i needed it, it would be unreadable.
Tried writing on a piece of paper, which solved smudging off, but the problem would be keeping the paper attached to the bag. So i would end up with a bunch of paper labels on the bottom of the freezer, and an equal amount of un-labeled bags.
Then i tried getting those ikea colored zipbags.. and use different colors for different pieces.. and it's ok for the first batch.. but then the next batch i wouldn't have the same color bags anymore.. so the color scheme was changed and from that point on it was again a random guess what i'd take out.
So really.. the question is - is there a method so easy even the laziest person can stick to it..?
Or do you somehow find the mental strength to keep consistent.. and how?
Or do you just guess by the shape what it is.. and then have a way of not getting stressed when you miss?

My next try is probably gonna be giving the color scheme one more try.. but with a bit more planning :)
