Bang5luts I really want to agree, it's not that I don't agree that there aren't good followers (Quakers were involved with civil rights) but I argue on the logic of true followers. The way bad followers can find meaning is that many verses are abstract and many verses are also violent. The bible has love thy neighbor but the bible also said that Jesus came not for peace, but with a sword. Lots of vengeance and violence so I mean people can take it either way.
I'm spiritual so I'm not trying to make an atheist argument but I don't buy the true follower thing, there's many different sects and based on their own biases can get whatever they wish out of it. That's why we had separation of church and state even though it's never truly been that way, it should though.
