What is something you believed as a kid that ended up being completely wrong?

When I was a kid and I found out that you could control your breathing consciously I didn’t want to do it because I thought it would make it where I had to take over breathing for the rest of my life. Then I got distracted and forgot all about that thought and my breathing continued on its own

That there were a few good people in government who believed in preserving freedom and the US middle class.

That logic, common sense and self-preservation trumped leftist propaganda. That US citizens would fight for freedom and defend the US Constitution.
