Have you told someone

That "I'll be there no matter what happens. You call me at midnight for an emergency and I'll be there as fast as I can be".

Have you meant this? If so what was their reaction if you did tell them something along the lines of what was told above?

Yeah. Most people say they don’t want to bother me.
I had someone accidentally send me an SOS text a couple weeks ago and I was at their house in under 5 minutes.

Ive also missed texts in the middle of the night that now haunt me.

Yes, and yes. I have responded to calls as needed. They've done the same for me. That's what a true friend does.
