I Have Random Thoughts

Talking about the dentist and the tooth fairy with my daughter and her friend and now we are questionning why kids get rewarded for essentially just losing body parts. I mean you dont see anyone getting rewards for losing hair or cutting off finger nails or anything so why are teeth so special?

[c=#7700B2]losing teeth is scary. The tooth fairy gives kids a reason not to be so fearful of it.. Cutting off finger nails isn't painful or anything and happens a lot more often, teeth are different [/c]

very true, but kids dont always get rewarded for their first trip to the hairdresser and that can be equally as scary. You go to the dentist for a basic check up and you get a sticker (or at least my kid does), you go to the hairdresser where people are coming near you with scissors and there is nothing

[c=#7700B2]a lot of hairdressers here give out lollipops to kids [/c]

They don't do that here. Sounds like a good idea though. My friend's daughter completely freaked out the first time she went.

[c=#7700B2]the more expensive hairdressers do it here, not the places where you can just walk in and wait for a bad haircut [/c]
