I Have Random Thoughts

Block people because they're being abusive or because you find the things that they like to talk about disgusting. Or block them because they won't leave you alone or because they're genuinely bothering you. There are a lot of good reasons to block someone. But for god's sake, don't block someone just because you disagree with them.

Not sure I agree with that.
I think having the ability to create your own experience here is why the mute/block button exists. Some may not want to engage in they types of conversations that solicit disagreement.
I've been here for a few months and hadn't really used the block button at all. But I found that when I started removing certain people the experience became more positive. Maybe it's because I have no expectations of learning anything from a dissenting opinion here. This isn't where I come to learn.
I hear what you're saying though. Good comment.

Don't get me wrong, I do the same thing - I just don't think that you need more than the mute button to do it, unless someone starts crossing certain lines with you.
