Almost the 12th, ooooh yeah [I Want To Write My Random Thoughts And Feelings]
On the 13th i'll order The Complete Films of Agnès Varda, a deluxe 15 blu ray set full of goodies, and a thick book of essays and stuff.
Agnès made imo the first French New Wave film, and is a marvelous treat for cinephiles, i love her 2 short films i've seen, one about a tourist resort where Nietzsche spent some time, and is mentioned in it, i always feel giddy when he's mentioned in a film, except Rope by Hitchcock.
Of her feature films i've seen what i like most of the 4 is Le bonheur, one of the most visually beautiful looking, and storywise daring. And Vagabond, a perfectly executed bleak film about a homeless woman.
To experience her filmography in it's supposed totality will be like going to paradise, i will still study Ingmar though.
Great filmmakers are those you live with, like the great authors, thinkers, composers and musicians, for the last decade of my life i however want to focus on one director per year, i hope to cover Fassbinder in 2022.
So tonight i will binge Ingmar, since it is nigh the time when i can use the good tv, and it will be dark for close to 10 hours, i just can't be too loud, i always say to my family to let me know if i am too loud.
And Wong Kar Wai in late March, will get the Fellini set in February, what surprises will Criterion have .... i am ever hopeful. Have a good night / day SWeoples of the earth, i shall spend more fun nights and days with you all, but my passion is film, and like a dream job, i gotta get my hours in. 💜
