At this rate? I give it 50 years. No more nations. Just Disney. And you know what? It might not be so bad. Ever been to Disney World? They run a tight ship. Rare is it you hear of crime or hardship in "the happiest place on Earth."
Well slow down there...I am sure they run a tight ship, but they also control the narrative. For example, despite the number of deaths that have occurred on Disney property, all deceased who have died there are not declared legally dead until their corpse is off Disney property. So they hose off the teacup ride and reopen it once everything is dry again. When you have an almighty amount of [c=#009E4F]$$$[/c] you can create any reality you want inside of your controlled space. @Madhatter

@DukeOfEarle True, but that just sounds like normal government, to me. I'm not saying they're perfect. I'm just saying I've come to trust the mouse more than actual government. Disney might be consumed by greed, but at least they make it fun.
You might think otherwise if you’d actually worked there. But that’s fine. And I’ll concede that they’d probably do no better than the current powers that be. @Madhatter

@DukeOfEarle *gasp* Disney gossip?! I have not worked there. Tell me Disney's dark secrets!
People like to scatter the ashes of the departed at Anaheim and Orlando. It’s called a White Powder Alert https://www.insider.com/disney-world-disneyland-family-spread-ashes-2018-10 @Madhatter

@DukeOfEarle Well how is that a bad thing Disney does? I mean, I get people would want their ashes spread in their favorite place, but Disney is right. Having ashes of a dead person sprinkled over them is not a fun experience. I'm on Disney's side. Don't do that. It's gross.
I wasn’t justifying it. It’s one of those things that happen at their theme parks that are not commonly known. And it happens so often they already have a contingency plan in place for when it does. @Madhatter

@DukeOfEarle See? That's why Disney should replace the government. They identified a problem, created a contingency plan for it, and properly enforced it. That's more than our government is capable of doing.
@Madhatter Not to defend governments (I’ll be the last to do that!) but managing a company is a lot different from managing a country. If anything Disney is monopolizing the entertainment industry. If unchecked it will become one choice, one voice. No diversity. Marginalized, compartmentalized. Conform to our message or get kicked to the curb. That’s not a world I would want to live in.

@DukeOfEarle That's one way to look at it. Another is of unity and harmony. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an example of what good that can do. Separated by Sony, Paramount, and Fox, the Avengers could never exist. Under one roof, we not only get the Avengers, but an ever-growing cast of characters. TV shows on Disney Plus that weave into the movies. It created something magical that would have made a very young me shake with excitement. Unity requires a lot of trust, but the rewards far outshine anything possible divided. Disney is kept honest because it is, in a sense, a democracy, wherein the people cast their votes with their wallet. When Disney missteps, we make sure they know it, and they always correct course.
