They know a free ride when 5hey see it. I can remember when seein wold turkeys was rare, conservation does yield rewards.

@monte3 That's very true and now they're in abundance around many parts of Eastern ON.

I grow up on a farm in western MN, I remember my Mother calling me because four turkeys were walking up the driveway, now they are thick. That was about 40 years ago.

@monte3 I never actually seen a wild turkey until about 16 years ago around here. Now they are in abundance. You can shoot them with black powder apparently just about anytime of the year.

Black powder! Just like in pioneer times.

@monte3 It's kind of interesting that some hunters still use that method for hunting around these parts.
