You can shut everyone out. Depends on why is another thing all together. If they are unhealthy for you do it. Just make sure that it’s not unhealthy for you to do so. Me and my mother have an unhealthy relationship. I shut her out when I have too.

There is no substitute for involvement. Where there is no involvement, there is no life.
