When my daughter was born when I was 21 she spent the majority of her time from 0 to 2 with me. My son was a mommy's boy.
I doubt I'll have more kids being 45 now but I think that at least one parent should be home so that the children can learn the principles and values the parents want to instill. A babysitter cannot teach that. But for most with the cost of living and inflation, the ability to have an at home parent becomes increasingly difficult.
