It's not a myth, it makes it harder to see outside when driving at night. It's like watching a movie at the theatre with the lights on

My parents told me that for years. My mom turned on my light one night while I was driving post a cop and I got so mad that she'd risk me getting in trouble. She just laughed like crazy and said it was a lie they'd told us as kids so we wouldn't forget to turn the lights off and kill the battery overnight.

I also thought it was illegal
