It is not so much multi tasking abilities as it is different tasks become more important at different times. Your eyes just don't want to leave your forward looking view to glance at the dash. The faster you go the less time you have to look elsewhere, eventually you go so fast that the time you can afford to spend away from looking where you are going to go reaches near zero.

It is amazing...did it once in Vegas at the racetrack. Cost me $350.00 to ride in a Nascar race car for 10 laps

I was in a car that went 230km/h for a while... It was terrifying 😂

Things come at you very fast and it is hard to tell when to start slowing down, the other thing is you can't hardly make yourself look at the speedometer your eyes are so focused on what is in front of you.
