I Have Random Thoughts

The past is what it is. No matter how I spent the last 31 years, those 31 years are still gone. I could have been sipping margaritas on a beach or living it up as a millionaire and those years would still be gone. I could have been living homeless on the street, and those years would still be gone. What I did yesterday doesn't matter, because no matter what it was, yesterday is still gone. Yesterday is always gone.

The only ways that what I did yesterday matters are in the changes it made - in myself, in others, and in the world - and in the memories it left me with. Those are the only parts of yesterday that endure. Everything else is dust.

Make a difference. Make a change. Make memories worth having. Otherwise you're just making dust.
