@Fishy that's pretty easy. Wounds would never close without that, so individuals incapable of that would die pretty quickly from the smallest accidents or attacks.

@NerdyPotato but I mean like... Before that feature evolved, then wouldn't everything just bleed to death? Therefore not giving the feature the chance to evolve?

@Fishy that is indeed a good question. How did organisms survive long enough for a mutation to happen that allowed for blood clotting? 🤔 I don't have an answer for that, but now I'm curious too.
