I Have Something to Say

I hate being around adults that do not swear. They're like "fricking" and "shoot". Wtf is that? I'm sorry, but I can't. We are adults, Mary.

WOW! It must be the weather that has people snippy.
Tristemuneca, I didn't see any attack on YOUR kids or your parenting skills. You have no need to defend yourself.
DreanStreetStan, does seem to need a little maturity, when talking to other adults but she is still young and hasn't dealt with the problems of raising kids.
We are adults, aren't we?

@bcvegas4u- I didn't say she was attacking me, nor did I come at the OP with verbal aggression. I'm simply stating that the lack of swearing is not an indication of a child's intelligence. I answered the OP in a respectable manner using my parenting skills and my kids education as an example because it is my experience that I can elaborate on and no one else's.
Yes the OP probably hasn't had the opportunity to parent her own children and lacks experience but if thinking that NOT swearing is why kids are stupid is obviously not correct. This is what these forums are made for, people state their thoughts, ideas, observations and feelings, others comment on it. If you follow the thread before my second comment you'll see that I'm not the only commenter who stated we don't swear around kids.

@dreamstreetstan - I'm 28 but exactly like you said age doesn't always mean wisdom. I had my children young - yes but I've been an independent living adult since I was the age of 16.
You are right life experience is what makes you wise.
I've lived far more in my 28yrs on earth than most adults in their 40's and 50's.
My response to you (that you couldn't bother to read, maybe for lack of reading comprehension skills) came not just from personal experience but from early childhood education classes.

Controlling your speech is a sign of maturity. I swear but I don't have to all the time. There is a time and place for everything.

So dont cry when u get responses u dont like. And God bless whoever did adopt u, cuz they must have had the patience of an angel.
LJ123 · 46-50, F
But we're not always around just adults. Ive got a potty mouth but I wont use that language around my kids or anyone elses.
I know! Like can you even be trusted??

Experience is the key to wisdom. What you experience is supposed to teach you what works and what doesn't.

And, like I said, u will get a response to your posts, whether u like them or not.

It's funny that you think this is why kids are stupid.
My kids are anything but stupid.
Top of their class, honor roll, well spoken, articulate, witty, and are fluent in sarcasm. Their teachers do nothing but rave about how well they can carry a conversation, and how much they enjoy being able to joke with them at a higher level than the rest of their peers. They do catch on to the teachers snarky comments and offer witty responses.
They know swear words but they also know it's not age appropriate. How would my kids having my or my husbands vulgar language be of any benefit to them? Especially since my swear word index is a lot more than just English, it's also in Spanish, some Polish and a few bad Korean words I picked up from places where i worked at.
Every one has their own parenting style, but using or not using swear words won't make a kid stupid.
If anything I would think that swearingg would be indicative of a child's behavioral issues and or the need of attention. If my child has to add shock value to feel heard than I am clearly doing something wrong as a parent.

I mean, Tristan or whatever isn't much older than me. Probably got knocked up at 16 and thinks she has all the answers. 😂
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
I'm the person that posted this story 😂
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
Who is crying? Where am I crying? I didn't even read her response 😂
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
Trisen or whatever, I didn't read your response. I got bored. I have the attention span of a dead squirrel. But good for you with your thing, I guess.
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
Yes. And water is wet.

Teen moms. Lol
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Hahaha sometimes I do that, mainly because I have kids so I use substitute words so they don't go around saying fuck and shit in daycare or school lol

So I forget when they aren't around, or worse sometimes I forget when they are around and I slip up 😳
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
Having kids doesn't automatically make you mature. You act like a broken condom is the key to wisdom.
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
Lisa, who tf are you?
LJ123 · 46-50, F
Triste was responding to "this is why kids are stupid." Patents take that shit personally. I dont expect u to understand that, but when u post something on here, u are going to get a response, like it or not.
LJ123 · 46-50, F
Been here since the beginning, boo. Who the fuck are u?
MrsVulcano · 26-30, F
