I hope the next 6 weeks are easier for you. Why are you wearing yourself so thin? You need a you day. Get out of the house just you. Take a walk, go out to eat or just do something you really enjoy doing. You need to breathe.

Agreed, do something for yourself. It is obvious no one is concerned about your overall happiness if you have been doing this for 6 weeks.

Have to admit is has been longer than 6 weeks. It has just boiled over for me.

I hear ya man! I've often called myself a chameleon as I like to blend in and make others happy even though I'm not happy doing some of those things. I think in the long run, others aren't convinced and you may even have a bad attitude doing some of those things, so it really has the opposite effect.

But over the last 6 months due to a marriage that has been failing over the last 4 years and no sex in the last 2 years I'm caring less and less about trying to please others. It's a true eye opener. Best of luck man, but all I can say is do things for yourself and take babysteps on trying not to please others. Can't go cold turkey, but the power of no is a good one.

Great advice.

Why are you living for other people and not yourself?

Great question. Pretty much the way I am wired I guess.

The world teaches us to do for others but then we forget about us. That is ass backwards. And the guilt plays a huge toll on the psyche.

You are allowed to treat yourself as good as you treat others. In fact it's a must if you are going to be happy. Boundaries are beautiful things!

Thank you so much. I just haven't been myself lately.

@Pregame14: You are welcome. Are you ready then to be yourself? 🌹
