Do you have friends that won’t allow you to have your opinion? I’ve had a great friend since high school and we disagreed about something and because

I dared have an ‘opinion’, and she hung up the phone on me. It was the last time she hung up on me, and she won’t get the chance to do it ever again for not thinking, and believing exactly like her. No ma’am, nobody gets to tell me I can’t have an opinion. They don’t have to agree, but I very much think for myself. I had the same encounter here tonight on SW, and I stressed to her at least 3 times, “it’s just my opinion”…I have zero tolerance for that behavior, so needless to say I was forced to block again. Sighs

P.S. I really could not disagree more with her opinion either but I didn’t get all mad with her and act like a child about it. I honestly tried. Folks, I don’t do well kissing behinds here. Sorry 😢

I have friends with very strong opinions, some much different than mine. We will defend our positions.....sometimes vehemently.....without coming to blows. We are friends after all. 😉

In spite of the differences, we are friends, and that means we respect each other, even if we don't like their views. If we can't respect each other, then we really weren't friends after all.

My boyfriend's sister chooses all our furniture and decor. When we go ahead with what we like she gets very angry and offended. We've told her we all have different tastes and she glances around and says things like, "it's a shame as this could be a very nice house". Everyone who visits compliments us on the house, it is just her that wants us to spend thousands unnecessarily to please her.

But evidently both of these individuals must think her opinion is fact… sad, that people are so entitled to think someone would have the audacity to disagree with them. Smh

And she gave her opinion first. I listened to it in silence cause her opinion is just that… ‘ an opinion’I never said a thing back about her opinion but I did give her my own opinion, but noooo I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion. 😔 Truth is ‘she didn’t want to hear my opinion.’
