Ok so then...

If a tube of toothpaste typically lasts a month when a person brushes twice a day and you knew how much toothpast has been sold in a year in your city vs the population of the city, you would know how many people actually brush thier teeth as much as they say they do!

But that gets muddied when people buy extras, or are visiting, or change brands. One of those impossible stats to get any accuracy with.
