The girls got lots of Easter eggs 2 weekends ago.

We’ve been eating the small solid eggs the girls received and we noticed that some of them don’t taste like usual Cadbury anymore. A few are chalky or a bit powdery. Since we combined all the eggs into one container, we can’t tell which ones came from where.

When my husband mentioned it to his mum, he quickly said that the ones that didn’t taste good weren’t from them, but I don’t see how he could know that. The girls were given six boxes of eggs from different people and we mixed them all together before he even got home.

I also don’t think it’s about blaming anyone anyway. If some eggs aren’t great, it could just be that they were older stock from the shop, not anything to do with who gave them. I just wish he didn’t feel like he had to defend it straight away.

Cadbury went right down when it was taken over by Kraft. It doesn't taste like it used to.
If you didn’t already have MIL issues, I’d say no harm in his not wanting his mother to feel bad. But I’d imagine this runs a lot deeper than Easter eggs.
