I Have Something to Say

isn't it funny and sad how when we're young, everything seems so big and wonderful, and little by little it chips away at that sense of bewilderment? and for many it started at an early age, being called weird or being told that you aren't well liked... it sort of knocks the wind out of your sails, but you get over it, and as time goes on you become more resilient to it... expectations gradually become non existent, but yet you persist, in this weird jaded state. but as jaded and cynical as you become, you still hold a sliver of hope... in that as bad as it currently is, something good has to be out there. many of us try to deny ourselves of this, instead opting for an apathetic approach to life, and an incredibly nihilistic view of the world.which is somewhat understandable, i mean why remain optimistic when seemingly nothing good ever happens to you.
but people tend to overlook the good things that do happen... finding a quarter on the sidewalk, getting an extra nugget with your order, someone complimenting your hair or outfit, a smile from a stranger.
don't let all the negativity you've faced or endured define who you are.
keep your chin up, and all that shit...
