This is fascism.

Don't wax poetic about it. It is what it is. It isn't unique just because it is happening in the age of the internet...that just makes it more easily spread and normalizes it.

It. Is. Not. Normal.

To put this in perspective....2/3 of voting people are not republican.

The majority of this country identifies as other than republican.

Other than conservative.

Even conservatives who dislike the cureent admin...will be on this "list"...

And there are lists being made online by MAGA.

Do what you will.

@NerdyPotato No not your daily routine, the general cycle in the US of uncompromising political extremism, over sensationalism and violence.

Things here are not perfect, but for now atleast there is moderation, compromise and discord.

@AdmiralPrune yep, things are much calmer here as well, although we'll have elections in 6 weeks and we'll have to see how that turns out. More and more people aren't afraid to publicly support fascism here anymore either.

@NerdyPotato fascism is a term that should not be thrown around lightly. It waters down the awareness and understanding of true fascism.

People use words they don’t full understand or appreciate, believing they are adding weight to their words. When in fact in does the opposite.

@AdmiralPrune true, but what is happening in the USA is actual fascism. They follow the literal Nazi playbook, step by step, down to the language used in their propaganda.

@AdmiralPrune why do you think they're forcing homeless people into clinics? Because they care so much about their health after cutting food programs and healthcare? It's to get them out of sight so people won't notice what happens to them. And invading neighbors like Canada and Greenland? The talk has already been there for a long time. They're not even hiding their goals and people still don't see it.

@AdmiralPrune Does it need to involve work before killing them for it to be fascism? I'm not working myself up over things that aren't as real or bad as they seem. These things are happening. And some parties in my country are using the same language and narrative, and becoming more popular. The "success" of these policies in the US are being reflected here. We're on the verge of going the same way. So no, I won't just ignore it and relax that the same won't happen here. We are at risk of the same happening here.

@AdmiralPrune Good job, you reflect Germans in 1930s/40s Germany, Those in Poland and Denmark and beyond...who did nothing because it did not affect them, while Jewish people, mentally ill people and the "less desirables", minorities were murdered and genocide occured.
