Maybe this is Dementia laden Narcissistic Injury we are witnessing. His insults have become way more school yard angry bully.
I know he was never very coherent....but there is a difference from 4 yrs ago. It is less measured. He doesn't have the capacity to filter anything at all now.

Things with narcissistic people, they can't self reflect, they have no propensity of telling the truth, they tell it how they want it to be, silly things like facts get in the way and cause rage, they are actually quite ridiculous people.. They are actually all the same as each other when you break it down
@AbsolutelyFabulous There should absolutely be psychology lessons about these things. That IS a course that can be taken in HS. They only talk about the basics though.
But Narcs have the ability to read a room and manipulate it. How does a Narc behave with cognitive decline? ...I think this is a fine example of how it might look.
@JaggedLittlePill once you see who they really are, you can't unsee, they're really damaging and damaged.. They don't want help, unfortunately there is no chance of change with them, so ANY relationship with them is a total waste of time and a disaster waiting to happen
